Being adventurous can be beneficial, according to Dr. Bianca Wittmann, Ph.D., of the Center for Mind, Brain, and Behavior, the University of Marburg, and Justus Liebig University Giessen in Germany. A study published in the journal Neuron stated that adventurous behaviors, whether physical or mental, make us feel good because it fires up the same brain regions as getting a reward. As such, it motivates some people to try new things, even though they may be challenging at first.
The result is that these people become more :
Life is supposed to be a series of adventures. We're all supposed to be explorers, pioneers, and treasure hunters of the soul, just like Abraham in the Bible.

In essence, successful lives grow out of successful adventures. While a ship in port is safe, it is not what ships are intended for. Similarly, we are designed to experience life outside our comfort zones and be enriched and grow, especially during rough seasons.
And like all true adventures, we do not know the ending. Our future, as it is, is open-ended. We do not yet know the rest of our own story. That's the beauty of it.
So, perhaps we can begin to label our challenges as adventures from which life lessons can be drawn and enjoy the ride!
